WHAT WILL I NEED?

  • Team of like minded individuals (2-6) who share your passion for fun and adventure and a desire to assist WA families living with type 1 diabetes.
  • Mountain Bike and spares. If you do not have a mountain bike, contact us for hire options.
  • Biking Apparel , see Riders Information for further details.
  • Support vehicle (1 only) to move non riding crew and your bikes.
  • Camping gear and equipment in line with your required levels of comfort.
  • Free to travel between 10th and 15th November 2014.

 

WHO CAN ENTER?

Persons who are over 18 years of age, who are suitably experienced mountain bike riders and physically capable of riding on a variety of off road tracks and trails.

All entrants agree to be bound by the code of conduct, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the event as defined by the event organisers.

 

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Each entrant agrees to pay an entry fee of $600.00 to include all meals, camping fees, entertainment and souvenir merchandise. Additionally each entrant agrees to fundraise in support of the Telethon Juvenile Diabetes Family Centre (TJDFC) a minimum donation of $1,500.00.

 

TEAMS:

Each team shall comprise of between two and six members. (The lower the number of team members the higher the level of fitness and biking experience required.)

 

SUPPORT:

Our expert team of major event organisers will be with you every crank of the way.

  • Medical Crew including our event doctor, masseuse and physiotherapist.
  • Mobile Workshops with experienced bike mechanics to ensure that your wheels keep turning.
  • On trail marshals, checkpoint and feed station crew.
  • Catering crew - to provide you with a range of healthy meals.
  • Entertainment crew – to provide you with a range of entertainment along the way.


TROPHIES / PRIZES:

A range of trophies and prizes will be awarded to both teams and individuals to reward excellence in participation pre and during the event. Some of the prizes will be real and of value. Our trophies are affectionately recognised as being worthless but priceless, in that some of them are made up of meaningful items, collected during event surveys that denote the areas we travel through and the spirit of the event. (Some might call it junk.)
